“Being a facilitator is like being the midwife of newborn ideas.” (Michael Wilkinson, The Secrets of Facilitation)

My approach to facilitation and process design has been shaped by AJ&Smart, Xebia Scrum Academy, Schumacher College and Mischief Makers. Today, I bring that practice into different worlds: media, communication, culture and education. Working for clients such as VRT, KMSKA and Thomas More University of Applied Sciences.

I believe the ideas and potential to move forward are often already in the room. My role is not to bring all the answers, but to design the process that helps them emerge. I bring people together, ask the right questions and help teams build on each other’s thinking.

While people think out loud, I make their ideas visible. Always armed with Post-its and markers, I listen, capture and connect the dots.

But sometimes seeing things clearly is not enough. We need to see them differently. That is where my love for metaphors comes in. I use them to spark imagination and open up new ways of thinking.

And when we start looking at what could be, you will usually find me wearing De Bono’s yellow hat: bringing optimism and positive energy to help everyone see possibilities.

Because that is what fascinates me most:
unlocking the potential of teams.
